Introducing the Certified in Health Information Management (CHIM) Experiential Package

Our industry stakeholders have identified the need for improved health information literacy and have noted that there is a nation-wide shortage of CHIM-certified professionals. CHIMA and the College are proud to support our partners with increased pathways to the CHIM certification.

The CHIM Experiential Pathway allows professionals working in health formation fields who hold a complementary degree and have 3 years recent experience to write the CHIM NCE without having to attend a full program – available to people who have never held the CHIM certification.

The new CHIM Experiential Package includes:

  • CHIMA Affiliate Membership
  • CHIM NCE Preparatory Course
  • CHIM NCE Practice Questions
  • Health Information Fundamentals Self-Assessment Tool
  • Suggested Study Resources

Includes resources valued at over $375!

To earn the CHIM designation, applicants can be ready to write the NCE in three steps:

  1. Download and complete the self-assessment
  2. Submit the self-assessment to the College for review and approval
  3. Apply to write the CHIM NCE for $498 + tax.

Learners will have 12 months from the date of purchase of this bundle to write the CHIM NCE for $498 + tax.

Important note: The College’s CHIM NCE will not have the same questions as the practice questions.
