The Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) and The Canadian College of Health Information Management are now working with TELUS Health to enhance educational opportunities for health information students.\u00a0<\/p>

This initiative enhances the College Education Resource Program (CERP) by introducing the TELUS Collaborative Health Record (CHR) to participating academic institutions. By incorporating this widely-used software into CERP’s teaching tools, we\u2019re providing future health information professionals with valuable hands-on experience with software widely used in clinics and physician offices across Canada, better preparing them for their careers in healthcare.<\/p>

Through CERP, faculty and students can access the TELUS CHR software in a closed, secure teaching environment specifically designed for learning and research purposes. More information about CERP can be found here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>

The TELUS CHR is a customizable, unified\u00a0 EMR that enhances patient and provider experience by offering a wide range of integrated features. These include patient medical records (encompassing patient profiles, medical history, encounter notes, letters, medical reports, lab tests, and other documents), referrals, appointment scheduling, clinical task management, intra-office communications, billing functions, and AI-powered workflow tools.\u00a0<\/p>
