Building the Skills and Competencies Required for Entry-Level ROI Positions<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Release of Information (ROI) Micro-Credential<\/strong> focuses on the skills and competencies needed for entry-level ROI roles.<\/p>

Based on our industry consultations, employers are faced with a shortage of certified professionals with the skills and competencies needed for ROI roles. Expanding the eligibility to both CHIM<\/strong> and HICA-certified<\/strong> professionals ensures employers have enough certified, skilled professionals to fill entry-level roles.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Eligibility and Pathway for the ROI Micro-Credential<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Graduates of accredited Health Information Management diploma and degree programs and HICA-accredited programs<\/strong> that have confirmed their curriculum teaches the micro-credential learning outcomes will be eligible. Once graduates of these programs have passed the CHIM<\/strong> or HICA National Certification Exam (NCE)<\/strong> and have received their CHIM<\/strong> or HICA<\/strong> certification, they can sit for the ROI National Micro-Credential Exam (NME)<\/strong>. Employers can be assured that holders of the CCHIM\u2122 Digital Badge: Release of Information (ROI)<\/strong> have the entry-level ROI skills needed to begin working.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
