With over a decade of experience in connectivity and data governance, including at the Canadian Institute for Health Information, she now focuses on improving digital experiences for care teams and patients. She is Scientific Advisor for Population Data BC and Scientific Director \/ CEO of Health Data Research Network Canada. Her research interests are in primary care, policy evaluation and all aspects of population data science. From 2020-2022, Kim was a member of the Expert Advisory Group for the pan-Canadian Health Data Strategy. Meet Maxwell<\/h5>

Dr. Maxwell Smith is a bioethicist, Associate Professor, and CIHR Applied Public Health Chair in Ethics and Health Emergencies in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. Professor Smith also serves as an Associate Director of the Rotman Institute of Philosophy and has appointments in the Department of Philosophy, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Schulich Interfaculty Program in Public Health. His research is primarily in the area of public health ethics, with a focus on infectious disease ethics and the ethical demands that health equity and social justice place on governments and institutions to protect and promote the public\u2019s health.<\/p>

Meet Minnie<\/h5>

Minnie Ho is the director of Data & Analytic Services (DAS). She completed a MHSc in Community Health and Epidemiology and an Honours BSc in Toxicology, both at the University of Toronto. Minnie joined ICES in 2007 as an epidemiologist and during her tenure, has had a research focus in the area of aging, engaged extensively with voices across the health system, and helped to develop the current ICES-Ontario Health (Quality) collaboration. In her current role, she oversees data access, analytics and reports, spanning a broad range of topics, led by external investigators and health system interest holders to conduct research and health system evaluation. Her unit supports third party researcher requests from the public and private sector, and health system interest holder and rights holder requests through the Applied Health Research Question program.<\/p>

Nicole is an Associate Director at Simon Fraser University’s Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, where she works to advance innovative and equitable approaches to dialogue and democratic participation. Since 2013, Nicole has supported over a dozen local, provincial and federal public engagement projects with process design, facilitation, data analysis, reporting and evaluation. Chen brings extensive leadership experience in professional and continuing education, faculty development, and technology-enhanced learning. Chen, an associate professor in the School of Nursing, has served as the associate dean of Continuing Professional Development in the Faculty of Health Sciences since July 2024 and acting director of McMaster Continuing Education (MCE) since February 2025. Ruth Chen completed a bachelor\u2019s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley, a master\u2019s in Nursing at Yale University, and her PhD in Health Research Methodology at McMaster.<\/p>

Tracy Johnson is the Director of Pharmaceuticals at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). In this position, Tracy has lead the development of a Pharmaceuticals roadmap to address national gaps in drug data and it’s implementation in partnership with CDA-AMC. Tracy also held other leadership positions within Research & Analyses at CIHI where she was responsible and accountable for providing the vision, strategic leadership and client\/stakeholder relationships to develop analytical products that address priority health information needs, and promote their use.<\/p>
