Changes to the HIM Conference due to COVID-19

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has presented many challenges for organizations that were planning to host events this year. Due to COVID-19’s uncertain trajectory, travel restrictions, and the overall safety of attendees, the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) has decided to postpone the HIM 2020 Conference to 2021. The new dates are October 5–6, 2021.

The conference will still be taking place in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the same venues. The RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg, Delta Hotel Winnipeg, and Canadian Museum for Human Rights have been very understanding of the current situation. Their ability to change these dates is greatly appreciated.

CHIMA is looking forward to hosting the HIM 2021 Conference, and leveraging the theme, format, and speakers that have been secured.
