Announcing the Accreditation of CHA Learning’s Health Information Associate (HIA) Program

The demand for Health Information-Certified Associates (HICA) is increasing as healthcare organizations recognize their crucial role in managing high-quality health information and data – key drivers of efficiency and effectiveness in the Canadian healthcare system. To meet this growing need, CHA Learning’s Health Information Associate (HIA) Program provides specialized training for those looking to build a career in hospital-based health information clerical roles.

A Program Designed for the Acute Care (Hospital) Sector

CHA Learning’s Health Information Associate (HIA) Program is the first and only fully online program in Canada tailored specifically to meet the needs of the acute care (hospital) sector. Unlike traditional medical office assistant programs which focus on community and primary care settings (such as doctor’s offices), the HIA Program is designed to equip learners for hospital-based clerical roles.

Developed in close consultation with healthcare employers, this program provides the essential skills and knowledge needed for success in key positions such as registration clerk, health records clerk, unit clerk and more.

Why Choose CHA Learning?

CHA Learning is the professional development division of HealthCareCAN, and Canada’s only national, fully online learning provider serving all of healthcare.
