Appointment Announcement: Sharon Baker ACC, CTSS, as CHIMA’s Representative on IFHIMA
CHIMA is pleased to announce the appointment of Sharon Baker as our representative on the International Federation of Health Information Management Associations (IFHIMA).
Sharon brings extensive expertise in health information , with over two decades of experience across various leadership roles and is the current Manager of Classifications and Terminologies Development at the Canadian Institute for Health Information. Her commitment to advancing health information practices is well demonstrated through her work in strategic operations, compliance, and workforce development within the sector. As a seasoned professional and certified terminologist through the Canadian College of Health Information. Sharon has a track record of fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the field.
In her new role, Sharon will strengthen CHIMA’s international engagement by representing the Canadian voice on IFHIMA’s global platform and be part of the Partnership & External Relationships group under the leadership of Betsy Nejat.
Sharon’s deep understanding of both national and global health information systems positions her to effectively contribute to IFHIMA’s initiatives. Sharon’s appointment will help build stronger connections with our international colleagues, enabling knowledge exchange and driving progress in the health information profession worldwide.
