Acknowledging a new partner: Algonquin College

The Canadian College of Health Information Management (College) would like to acknowledge Algonquin College (Algonquin) as an official College partner.

The College’s education partners deliver quality and innovative health information education. Algonquin has access to College-approved resources (e.g., from the Canadian Institute for Health Information) to provide instructors with the tools required to prepare students for real-world scenarios upon graduation.

Staff and students of Algonquin have the opportunity to provide thought leadership, such as research papers, articles, or briefs, to the College’s open-source, public library.

Together with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA), Algonquin students institution-wide are welcome to become CHIMA student members. Students learning across all programs, such as Office Administration – Health Services, Medical Transcription, or Bachelor of Information Technology, are encouraged to engage with CHIMA to reach a community of health information professionals across Canada.
