3terra is a Canadian health information software company based in Mississauga, Ontario. For the past decade it has supported hospitals with DQA, a platform that helps improve coding accuracy and the quality of coded data, and turn it into a consistent and reliable resource for decision support, funding and case mix analytics, and education. Over 50 hospitals across Ontario use DQA today, together accounting for roughly 70% of the province’s acute inpatient discharges, and the people using it every day are health information professionals.
“We’re excited about this partnership as a way to engage with CHIMA members, who are the primary users of our software. The HIM landscape is changing quickly, with AI, ICD-11 and EMR transitions all landing at once, and we want to contribute what we’ve learned while listening to what health information professionals actually need. We’re looking forward to being active participants in the community and being part of the conversations that matter to health information professionals.” – Iain Robinson, CEO and co-founder, 3terra
“Quality and accessible health data has never been more important for our health care system than it is today. We welcome 3Terra as a partner and look forward to collaborating on education and support for our members on enhanced coding and decision support to inform improved decision making and patient care.” – Betsy Nejat, Senior Director of Partnerships and External Relations.
