Session 2: Empowering Healthcare: Evolving Health Information Curricular Standards for IG Literacy
This session will provide an overview of the health information landscape in Canada and how health information curricular standards have evolved to expand on the Information Governance concepts, best practices, policies, and procedures. Our new curricular framework allows for greater inclusion and availability for all professionals currently working in the health ecosystem, as well as those starting their academic journey to join the health workforce. By working with academic partners across Canada in certificate, diploma, degree, and master’s programs, Information Governance literacy is more accessible for both full-time students and working professionals.
Session 3: Integrity in Health information: Balancing Privacy and Ethical Management
In this session, we’ll explore how to navigate the complex interplay between safeguarding patient privacy and upholding ethical standards in health information management. We’ll look at the considerations and challenges with privacy and ethics in the context of health information and actionable strategies that empower health professionals to foster trust and integrity in their organizations.
