This mini summit explores the challenges of getting access to data relevant for understanding the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts, as well as for developing new treatments. The summaries of cases and outcomes that we often see today provide limited insights. We need to unleash the data science community globally to develop descriptive and predictive models with more comprehensive data. This mini summit will present a vision for broad data access and what different organizations are doing to make this a reality.
