How do CHIM professionals get the digital education and training needed to take on more technical roles with data standards used in digital solutions (e.g., SNOMED CT, HL7 FHIR, etc.)?

The modernized health information fundamental standards now include technology/informatics and elements of curricular standards for standards to encourage a broad-based expansion of knowledge.

In addition, the college offers a specialty certification in interoperability and terminology standards, CTSS, which allows people to deepen their knowledge in this domain area. This certification pathway is open to people in health information and also adjacent fields such as health informatics.
